Habage Ham

You're favorite movie right now is "Savage Sam" (or "Habage Ham.  Dad likes to tease you, "you want Cabage and Ham?!").  You like to ride your horse "with" the Indians, and you like to get "bucked off" and yell "Whoa Bumbper" When Jumper bucks the little boy off.  It's quite cute.
 Today you wanted to watch Old Yeller instead of "Habage Ham" (so cute).  When the music came on you stood up off the couch and said "Mom, heart" and put your hand over your heart.  Since you did that for the star spangled banner this year at all the sporting events, you know what you're doing.  However, I'm not sure that "The Best Dog-gone Dog in the West" constitutes a hand over heart :)  You make me smile everyday, and I just LOVE it!
Love you SO much!  (And thanks for the laughs!)

It made me chuckle...

...today during sacrament meeting. You did a great job getting your own ONE piece of bread, and you even got your own cup of water, drank it all, and put it back in the tray. You were sitting by JoAnna and after you looked at her with that little "I did it all by myself" smile, she gave you a high five, then a "Bump it". How appropriate for sacrament meeting... a high 5 and a "bump it". Just made me chuckle! Love you stinker girl!

Addison update

Oh Addison. You are growing up too fast. (I think I say that every time I post something on here) but REALLY! YOU ARE! You are into EVERYTHING these days and definitely keep me busy (and tired) trying to pick up after you.

Some things about you now:
  • Whenever I ask you a question you answer with "no". It's not that you mean no, I think think that means yes. (Or maybe you just hear me say that waaay too often).
  • You HATE to have your hair fixed. Like- it's ridiculous. I can't even touch your hair without you saying "owie owie owie". When I do manage to get a pony, or cute clip in your hair- you usually have it yanked out as soon as we're in the car. (sometimes I can bribe you with candy if you leave it in. Sometimes that works, but not always).
  • You love taking a bath. I tell you to wash your- feet, toes, hands, knees, belly button, bummy, legs, arms and even armpits, and you do it! Just recently when I'm washing your hair I say "look up" and you've started to understand that the soap and water won't go in your eyes when you look up!
  • You LOVE Brogan. You call him Brog, or buddy. When you wake up he's often the first thing you ask for. If he's napping and wakes up, you find me and make your surprised face and say "Brog!". You love to make him laugh! (Even though you often are a little rough with him). I'll hear you both laughing and come in to see what you're doing, and don't ya know it you're sitting on him and he's loving it. (stinkers). :)
  • You love it when someone sings a song to you. Coming home from Dietrich the other night I wasn't allowed to listen to the radio because you wanted me to sing (ALL the way home). I sang patty-cake, the wheels on the bus, Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam, twinkle twinkle little star, and a BUNCH of others. Your favorite is patty cake. You can sing "pat-cake-pat cake" and do all the motions. (I'll have to try to get it on film cause it is too cute). Before the song is even over you always say "more, more, more"
  • You have been waking up early lately (I think you're getting more molars). Last night you wouldn't stay in bed with me and Dad (you were climbing on us, kicking us, and just being 1 and 1/2 years old). I let you get out of bed to romp around. The light was on in our bathroom (and that's one of your favorite places anyway) so that's where you went. You came back about 2 minutes later with a bar of soap. You started washing me (yes- I was still trying to sleep). It was too funny. Then you got into bed and started washing daddy. (He was VERY tired and didn't enjoy it as much as mom did). So to distract you I told you to taste the soap. Your face was HILARIOUS! You couldn't get the taste off your tongue so I got out of bed to wash your mouth. Just as I slid out of bed, you threw up. Right on my spot of the bed. I had to sleep on Daddy's half of the bed until he left. You went back to bed (with a bottle), but the joke was on me :)

Teethers

Oh Addison. You've gotten your 2 yr molars and you've been much better now that they're in. {You were quite the handful when you were breaking them in}. It's so cute how you can see those pretty little teeth in that happy mouth of yours! I tried to get some pictures one day, but it's pretty hard to tickle you and snap good pictures of the back of your mouth at the same time :).

I Love you little girl {Stop growing up so fast!} :)

Tickles

Today I was wearing a pair of baggy basketball shorts. I was holding Brogan, and trying to get you to kick a little ball. Instead, you decided to reach your little hand up my shorts and tickle my leg. And it REALLY tickled! You chased me around the house trying to tickle me. It was just so darn cute! I love you little girl, and I can NOT BELIEVE how fast you are growing up!

Grocery Shopping

We were at the grocery store tonight and you DID NOT want to ride in the cart, so I carried you (we were supposed to only be going for milk). Half way down the first isle you insisted on walking. Fine, I let you walk (as long as you held my hand). As soon as I pulled some beans off the shelf you wanted some beans for yourself. So I gave you the beans to carry. (You were very proud, and carried them around valiantly). Of course I got distracted and made my way to the frozen food isle where the hot pockets were on sale. Me and Daddy opened the fridge door and started picking out which flavors we wanted. When we finally found which ones we wanted we put them in the cart and walked away. Suddenly your bunny and the beans were gone! They seemed to magically disappear! You and Daddy walked around (you ran and ran and Daddy followed you) looking for the beans and bunny. I figured you stashed them on a low shelf somewhere so that's where we were looking. Go figure they were the last place we looked.... in the freezer on the bottom shelf :) The bunny and beans were nice and chilled when we finally found them. You were quite proud of yourself too!

Addison you are at such a fun age. You are starting to copy things you see me do (which is sometimes scary). You are a great little "mommy" to Brogan. The other day Brogan was laying on the footstool. You went in there and I could hear him talking to you and he was SO happy! (he loves you SO much). I walked into the room and you had opened his diaper. You had a tube of neosporin and you were "dabbing" it on his little man parts. You would pull his diaper closed when you were finished, then start the whole thing over again. You will be a great little Mommy someday!

I love you so much Addison! You are the best company to me, and you make me laugh ALL the time! I love that you are my little buddy. It makes me feel so very loved! You are such a sweet heart, and I'm excited to be able to spend this summer chasing you around outside (you LOVE outside and you also LOVE water!) It will definitely be a good time!
I sure Love you! Love, Mom

What a Girl!

Addison you are quite the girl! Every day I try my hardest to keep up with you, but you are like a little energizer bunny! You are constantly doing things that are hilarious. Sometimes you do things you shouldn't do {like shred toilet paper}, but you're just so darn cute I have a hard time keeping a straight face! Here are your "stats" on the last little while.
You laugh ALL the time! You have the cutest little laugh and I'm so glad you are such a happy girl! (You also make a mess at EVERY meal! I think we oughta just hose you down when you're done eating ;)
You like to find Daddy's hats and put them on. A lot of times you put them over your face and walk around all silly, like you don't know where you're going. It's always very cute, and always gets tons of laughs!
You love to play with your ball tower that Grandpa Funk made for your birthday. You always clap when you drop the ball in the hole.
You love to brush your teeth! {You won't let me do it}. You walk around the house with your toothbrush in your mouth {just like Mom}, and give it to me several times to rinse it out.
  • You never let me do your hair, but on this particular day I was able to curl it with my straightener AND put a headband in it! {you ripped off the headband just minutes later ;)}
You are a very good sharer {so far}. You've gone to nursery once and did very well with the other kids. You choose to follow around the "bully" kid. He liked to push you down and steal your toy, but you just kept following him around!
  • You love your cousin Daniel! You two play together so well! {Sometimes he pushes you, and sometimes you bully him a bit. It's always cute to watch you two duke it out, then go back to playing like good pals!}
Most mornings the three of us hang out in my bed. We do the diaper changing rounds, feed Brogan, and you tear apart my nightstand! By the end of the morning everything that was ON the nightstand is now IN my bed.
You like to jump on the bed. I think this is thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Jensen, who both liked to bounce you in your crib {naughty Grandparents!}
You HATE to be washed up {especially by anyone except Mom -I do the best job distracting you & making it seem "fun"}. This is a common reaction from you after mealtime cleanup. {Dad washed you up here. You can tell because all of your hair is wet} ;)
You like to talk on the phone! You call both Grandma's frequently, and you have even texted Dad a time or two!
You know how to eat a burger! We ate hamburgers with Jason's family in Rexburg one time and you watched Daniel eat his burger. You picked your burger up and ate it the same way he did! {and you devoured nearly the whole thing!} Since then you like to eat hamburgers! {McDonald's are your favorite to eat. They're a bit more "your size"}
You like to eat your snacks off the floor, laying on your tummy. We call this "eating like Marley".
  • "Marley and Me" is your favorite Movie in the WORLD! We watch it a million times a day when you're not in a good mood, when you're sick, or when you wake up in the middle of the night. It's the only movie that will get you to calm down. {And now Mommy know's every line perfectly, and is about ready for that movie to "magically disappear" :) }
YES... YOU MAKE MESSES!!! ALL THE TIME IN FACT!
This is just one of the MANY messes I clean up on a daily basis. {We normally put the toilet paper out of reach, but {a lot of mornings} Daddy forgets.
You love Brogan. You love to snuggle him {which sometimes ends up with you sitting/laying on him}, you love to talk and sing to him, and you love to give him kisses. You are such a sweet big sister!
You like to climb in Brogan's car seat. {It makes such a great toy}.
You are a HAM! You love to put on shoes -especially grown up shoes! Daddy put you in his boots one day and they were SO heavy you couldn't move an inch!
  • You know where your belly button is {see above}. When I ask you can point to your nose, mouth, eyes, teeth, and belly button. {You are just SO smart!}
  • You know how to make several animal noises! Cow-MOOO, chicken-bck bck, horse-you make a silly high pitched laugh. Then I ask you what else a horse makes and you make a raspberry noise. Lion-arr, monkey- eeee!, duck-"dck dck" dog -arr, kitty- eow. {Someday I'll get a video on here of you making all your animal noises and doing all your "tricks"}
  • You are getting more and more teeth! You have four on top and four on bottom. You have more coming in, and they're coming in all at the same time. You are still a happy little trooper though!
Addison- you are such a cute little girl! I can't believe how fast you are growing up! Everyday you get smarter and sweeter. I'm glad you are such a happy girl! I hope you never loose your bubbly little personality and always have that cute little smile on your face!
Love you! Love, Mom

Such a Great Big Sister!

Your new baby brother Brogan just arrived a few days ago and I have to admit, for only being 14 months old, you are a great big sister! You love to hold Brogan and give him loves. Whenever you see him you want to hold him, no matter what. You even like to help me burp him! Since I've had Brogan you've been spending a lot of time at Grandma Jensen's house, and today you are at Grandma Bingham's house. Even though Mommy is enjoying being able to rest up, I do have to admit that I miss you SOOOO much! It makes me so happy when you come home and are happy to see me. I love you Addison and am so glad you are such a great sister!

Bath time Fun!

Addison loves the bath! These are pictures from when she used to take baths in my bath tub. I started bathing her in her own bathroom after this time because she started standing up and playing in the mirror (too much cleaning for momma ;) Hopefully our little Addison will keep her love of the water!

Her little pony tails. (We cut them as soon as she turned one).

Sleepy Girl

Addison has always been a good sleeper. She started sleeping through the night just two weeks after she was born. She also really loves to take her naps. She prefersto have a short morning nap, then a short afternoon nap, but either way she'll take her nap when she gets tired enough. She's a silly girl and can go down pretty much anywhere and sprawls out in a million different ways (all cute). Below is all the evidence. Enjoy!

What a big girl you're getting to be!

Addison- you are growing like a weed!!! Mom thinks you need to slow down- I'm having a hard time keeping up with you these days! You're ten weeks old now and it's like you've figured out how to grow up within the last couple of days. Before today you army crawled around, and cried and boobed the whole time you had to move somewhere. You just wanted me to come pick you up. You have been pulling yourself up onto things for about 2 or 3 weeks, but now you're going places! Just yesterday you started crawling on your knees, and that meant you could crawl places, then sit back onto your booty. Today you were laying on the floor, rolled over, got to your knees, and pushed yourself back onto your bum. It was like you just decided that's what you were going to do, and did it! So far you've done things right at your own pace (no matter if it's before or behind other kids your age). You sat up early, crawled late, and now you just want to start walking! Your latest favorite thing to do is pull yourself up onto the couch and walk down it. You go all the way to the coffee table, and even into the kitchen holding onto the kitchen chairs. You always seem to have the biggest smile too! Those two front bottom teeth stick out and just make you so adorable! You've also devoloped this new squinty smile. You scrunch up your nose and squint your eyes... You really know how to ham it up :)

Since I don't journal things very well, here's some of (A LOT OF) the things you've 'been up to lately that I never want to forget.

-you like to try to put your fingers into outlets (yes- I did buy covers for them now)
-you like to crawl to the intertainment center and turn off the sattelite, or play with the X-box
-We have this horendous yellow balloon in the house and you chase it EVERYWHERE.
-You don't really love to sit down and eat baby food- you'd rather have "real" food (whatever we happen to be eating). I've been craving cheese sticks lately, so of course you like them too.
-You like to hug other babies. It's sweet how you pull them close to you to give them your big sloppy open mouth kisses. The only dangerous part is you put your arms all the way around them, pull their hair, and drag them over to you in order to plant a wet one. Mommy and Grandma don't mind, but your cousin Daniel didn't really like it :)
-You LOVED Thanksgiving. You ate and ate and ate and ate and ate, and after we were all done eating, people were still feeding you!!! You ate turkey, potatoes and gravy, rolls, cranberry sauce, beans, jello, and stuffing (your favorite).
-You love to take baths and go swimming. You slipped in the tub the other day and choked on some water, but that didn't stop you from loving the bath the next time!
-You LOVE books! You have this animal Book that will keep you busy all through sacrament meeting. I whisper the animal and the noise it makes and I sign them to you and you seem so interested. I'll bet anything you're going to be an animal lover.
-It's been snowing lately and you really like to look out the window with me and watch the snow. You don't however like your big heavy snow coat we got you. You can't move your arms in it and the last time we put you in it you screamed and screamed until you fell asleep (in the car).
-You're a binky girl. You don't have to have it, but if it's around you like to have it in your mouth.
-This last week when Jason and Cheryll were down you got sooo jealous when Grandma Jensen was holding Daniel and James. Ever since, you go to Grandma no matter what! It's like you're proving that she's "your" Grandma.
-You have some crazy long baby hairs! Not all of your original baby hair fell out so you have some reaaaaly long hair on top of your head and two little "tails" on the back of your head. I want to cut them but Daddy and Grandma Jensen tell me I can't. They get knotted up really easy though and the other day I had to cut one side because the knot just wouldn't come out! I can't get a good picture that does them justice, but they are very unique. :)
-You like to jibber jabber a lot lately too. Mostly you say Da da da da at different pitches and you make these faces like your getting ready to boss someone around. I think you're going to make a wonderfully bossy big sister ;)

Well, I think I've covered the majority of the things I never want to forget at this stage. Addison- you are the best little girl and I can't imagine life without you. I can't imagine not having everyday to stay at home to laugh and play with you. You are such a good girl. I hope you stay happy and remember that your Mommy and Daddy love you. I'm glad that Heavenly Father trusted me enough to take care of you, and I hope I can teach you everything he wants you to learn. I love you little girl- More than you'll ever know! Love, Mom.

A tooth! A tooth!

Addison is gettin a tooth! The other day I was sitting on the floor with her and I thought to myself... why isn't she drooling as much as she has been the last few weeks? then I wondered how long it was since someone felt around for a tooth in her mouth... (??? still don't know???) So I felt around and sure enough she's got a little guy poking out of the bottom! She didn't really like me touching it, but it was kinda a shock that it's already pushed through... she's been SO happy lately. I just figured there was no way she could be so smilely and giggly if she was teething. I'm proved wrong once again... and I'm sure not for the last time with this little girl :) Love you Addison!

Summer in the Blink of an Eye!

I feel like this summer has gone as fast as Addison has grown! I can't believe that it's September already! Addison has been growing like a weed, and although she isn't mobile yet, I feel like I'm already keeping busy just keeping her entertained. So here's a brief catchup on some of the stuff this little girl's been up to lately.
She's eating real food. Mostly baby foods, but she LOVES cheerios! And if someone she can see is eating you'd better believe you have to share! This girl loves food!!
Addison is sitting up all by herself! (and she's quite content with it too). She doesn't even want to try to crawl and her rolling over is minimal and that's only if she's feeling like rolling. Not only does she sit up, she dances, smiles, and LOVES the remote.
She really disliked the animals at the fairs we went to this summer. In fact this was the face she made with every animal we saw. (she'll have to grow out of that :)
Even though she doesn't like the fair animals, she still loves a good rodeo. What a cute happy little girl! She's so much fun!
The tongue sticker-outer! Addison is quite the little clown. She can roll her tongue two different ways, and loves to stick it out the side of her mouth (just like her daddy does when he's thinking). It's terribly cute. I just hope I'll be able to snap a picture of it one of these days.
Addison enjoys having her cousins around her too! She does really well "playing" (or putting up) with all their "love". We were lucky to have Debi, Loni, and Ada here this summer, along with all the other cousins we spent time with!
Addison is now in a big girl carseat! She loves to be able to see mommy and talk and sing with me!
Addison is now a total ham! whenever I get the camera out she pulls the biggest cheesiest smile! On this particular day she decided to turn her bib around and then spit up down the front of her. It was too cute not to take a picture.
And last of all... when Addison plays hard, she crashes hard! A lot of times Addison will just fall asleep all spread out like this. I love this little girl SO much and love seeing her personality come out each day! I wouldn't trade her for the world!

First Camping Trip!

You went on your first camping trip this last weekend! We went up to Anderson Dam for the Christopherson Family Reunion. We went up Friday afternoon and left Saturday eveningish. You were SO good! You slept through the night and only made a few squawk! You enjoyed eating and drinking anything anyone would give you :) We went to the reservoir on Saturday but it was too windy for you to swim. You spent lots of time with your Grandparent's and any one else who wanted you! It was a fun trip.
Before we left I told Daddy to start packing you... (what a smartie pants!)
You and Daniel with the Greats!
Grandpa Jensen giving you orange juice. (when he tried to stop you threw a fit!) It was pretty funny.
You spent lots of time with this guy!
You in your "sleeping bag". You slept so good! AND you were so happy in the morning too.
You snuggling daddy in the morning.
You were having such a great time playing with the wipes you didn't even notice me taking pictures!...Then I caught your "BUSTED" face... SO CUTE!
Grandma being an awesome grandma and cleaning up your licorice mess... (cause mommy wouldn't do it :)
Taking a nap after breakfast duty was over. You were totally out! (and it ticked you off when I woke you up to get ready for swimming).....
....But you got over that pretty fast. Ready to go swimmin!
Playin on the beach with Grandpa, Grandma and Daniel!
This was such a fun trip! I hope you still like camping when you get older! Love you! Love, Mom.
