Addison- you are growing like a weed!!! Mom thinks you need to slow down- I'm having a hard time keeping up with you these days! You're ten weeks old now and it's like you've figured out how to grow up within the last couple of days. Before today you army crawled around, and cried and boobed the whole time you had to move somewhere. You just wanted me to come pick you up. You have been pulling yourself up onto things for about 2 or 3 weeks, but now you're going places! Just yesterday you started crawling on your knees, and that meant you could crawl places, then sit back onto your booty. Today you were laying on the floor, rolled over, got to your knees, and pushed yourself back onto your bum. It was like you just decided that's what you were going to do, and did it! So far you've done things right at your own pace (no matter if it's before or behind other kids your age). You sat up early, crawled late, and now you just want to start walking! Your latest favorite thing to do is pull yourself up onto the couch and walk down it. You go all the way to the coffee table, and even into the kitchen holding onto the kitchen chairs. You always seem to have the biggest smile too! Those two front bottom teeth stick out and just make you so adorable! You've also devoloped this new squinty smile. You scrunch up your nose and squint your eyes... You really know how to ham it up :)
Since I don't journal things very well, here's some of (A LOT OF) the things you've 'been up to lately that I never want to forget.
-you like to try to put your fingers into outlets (yes- I did buy covers for them now)
-you like to crawl to the intertainment center and turn off the sattelite, or play with the X-box
-We have this horendous yellow balloon in the house and you chase it EVERYWHERE.
-You don't really love to sit down and eat baby food- you'd rather have "real" food (whatever we happen to be eating). I've been craving cheese sticks lately, so of course you like them too.
-You like to hug other babies. It's sweet how you pull them close to you to give them your big sloppy open mouth kisses. The only dangerous part is you put your arms all the way around them, pull their hair, and drag them over to you in order to plant a wet one. Mommy and Grandma don't mind, but your cousin Daniel didn't really like it :)
-You LOVED Thanksgiving. You ate and ate and ate and ate and ate, and after we were all done eating, people were still feeding you!!! You ate turkey, potatoes and gravy, rolls, cranberry sauce, beans, jello, and stuffing (your favorite).
-You love to take baths and go swimming. You slipped in the tub the other day and choked on some water, but that didn't stop you from loving the bath the next time!
-You LOVE books! You have this animal Book that will keep you busy all through sacrament meeting. I whisper the animal and the noise it makes and I sign them to you and you seem so interested. I'll bet anything you're going to be an animal lover.
-It's been snowing lately and you really like to look out the window with me and watch the snow. You don't however like your big heavy snow coat we got you. You can't move your arms in it and the last time we put you in it you screamed and screamed until you fell asleep (in the car).
-You're a binky girl. You don't have to have it, but if it's around you like to have it in your mouth.
-This last week when Jason and Cheryll were down you got sooo jealous when Grandma Jensen was holding Daniel and James. Ever since, you go to Grandma no matter what! It's like you're proving that she's "your" Grandma.
-You have some crazy long baby hairs! Not all of your original baby hair fell out so you have some reaaaaly long hair on top of your head and two little "tails" on the back of your head. I want to cut them but Daddy and Grandma Jensen tell me I can't. They get knotted up really easy though and the other day I had to cut one side because the knot just wouldn't come out! I can't get a good picture that does them justice, but they are
very unique. :)
-You like to jibber jabber a lot lately too. Mostly you say Da da da da at different pitches and you make these faces like your getting ready to boss someone around. I think you're going to make a wonderfully bossy big sister ;)
Well, I think I've covered the majority of the things I never want to forget at this stage. Addison- you are the best little girl and I can't imagine life without you. I can't imagine not having everyday to stay at home to laugh and play with you. You are such a good girl. I hope you stay happy and remember that your Mommy and Daddy love you. I'm glad that Heavenly Father trusted me enough to take care of you, and I hope I can teach you everything he wants you to learn. I love you little girl- More than you'll ever know! Love, Mom.
